In California, December brings shorter days, longer nights, and a shift in the seasons. This time of year is an amazing time to settle into inward exploration through meditation, reading, writing, creating, planning. Yet, at the same time our culture and community encourages us to connect with family and friends as we celebrate light within the darkness of the night. This can bring its own stress and anxiety into our lives just as it offers joy and community.

This workshop will offer you a toolbox of restorative yoga poses that can help calm the body and mind. These poses are known for boosting immunity and encouraging the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system.

By using an array of props to support the body, we will offer an opportunity to find a balance of action and ease. A carefully crafted sequence of supported poses with longer holds will prepare the body for supported inversions. These inversions are known for their rejuvenative properties, for flushing lymph, and for boosting the immune system.

You'll leave the session with five key poses known to be deeply restorative (and easy to set up at home) and a sense of ease in body, mind, and spirit.
