Backbends hold a certain fascination for the modern yogi. They can have invigorating and uplifting effects on the body, mind, and emotions. And for most of us, the more advanced postures can seem elusive and impossible.
In this intemediate intensive we will use Urhdva Dhanurasana (upward facing bow) as a foundation to build upon and a gateway to deepening backbends. By practicing variations of this pose with and without support (expect to see the chairs) we will explore our limits and learn ways to grow in practice.
Prior yoga experience in Urdhva Dahanurasana (upward facing bow/ wheel) is recommended. Come prepared to practice with focus and a sense of curiosity.
