This yoga workshop is designed to inspire us to be playful and creative with the use of backless chairs in yoga practice.
Learning how to use support in the practice of asana (postures) gives us the opportunity to build a sustainable, life-long practice. Join me as we use the chairs to explore both dynamic and challenging shapes. You will discover new ways to feel the actions in asanas because the chair both supports you and expands your potential.
The sequence will build on the foundation of standing poses and how their shapes are the blueprints for more advanced arm balances. We will begin by opening the side body, and then more into spirals and twists.
This workshop is designed for those with prior yoga experience. While chairs offer support, this is not a restorative workshop and will offer a unique opportunity to practice dynamically with support.
