Yoga & Acupuncture: A Seasonal Tune-Up

  • Luma Yoga Center 1010 Center Street Santa Cruz, CA, 95060 United States (map)

Dawn & Déva offer you a seasonal tune-up designed to bring the alchemy of yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine together in a way that supports your vitality.

The yoga practice will begin with supported movements that emphasize sliding and gliding and will build to an asana sequence designed to activate the Chinese Meridians impacted during the season. The practice will culminate with an extended savasana and mini acupuncture treatment.

Autumn in Chinese Medicine corresponds to the metal element, the organs of the Lung and Large Intestine, and is associated with harvest. Slowing down, eating nourishing foods and building up your immune system will help your body stay strong through this fall and winter.

You will also be given information and tips to help you navigate the unique challenges of each season as light, temperature, and weather change. An herbal tea blend will be served to further nourish and offer you balance.
